Masonic Lodge #57, Whitewater, Wi
The Masonic Lodge in Whitewater is a very cool building. Built in 1904, this building was designed by Leenhouts & Guthrie Architects. They were a Milwaukee based company that have built some interesting buildings in Wisconsin. They also had built the Milwaukee House of Corrections.
This location had it's own active bowling alley in the basement that was used for leagues until about 1960's when that ended. The bowling alley though is still there.
It currently houses St. John's Lodge. It has also been home to the Eastern Stars, Royal Arch Masons, and the Rainbow Girls.
Many of Whitewater's founding fathers have been members here....Esterly, Starin, and Littlejohn are just a few.
